Lightroom Classic plug-ins for the Mac

Each one solves a single job end to end, runs on your Mac, and shows you what it will do before it does it. Both are coming to Adobe Exchange; until then, write to us if you'd like to try one.

GeoMatch

Locations for your camera photos, from your iPhone photos.

Forgot to connect your camera to your phone? GeoMatch looks at the iPhone photos in Apple's Photos app on your Mac, finds the ones taken around the same time as each camera photo in Lightroom Classic, and copies their location across. You check every match side by side before anything changes.

• GPS location and altitude, so your photos appear on the Map module
• Place names: street or landmark, city, state or province, country
• Local date and time with its time zone
• Camera still on home time? GeoMatch notices and walks you through fixing it with Lightroom Classic's own Edit Capture Time

Requires macOS and Lightroom Classic 15 or later, and an iPhone whose photos sync to Photos on the same Mac. Reads your Photos library, never changes it. Not available for Windows.

PhotosPublish

Publish Lightroom Classic collections to Apple Photos, and keep them in sync.

A Lightroom Classic publish service for Apple's Photos app on the same Mac — and from there, with iCloud Photos, to your iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Pick the collections, click Publish; re-edit later and click Publish again.

• Collections and smart collections become albums in a "Lightroom" folder
• Sized for screens: JPEG in Display P3, 6000 px by default — a fraction of a full-size export
• Re-edited photos are updated in place, keeping albums and Favorite — no duplicates
• Keywords, titles, captions and Favorite (Pick flag) sync both ways; locations go to Photos
• Videos as MP4 up to 4K; a one-time migration adopts photos you exported by hand

Requires macOS 14 and Lightroom Classic 15 or later. Includes a small helper app that asks once for access to Photos. Not available for Windows.
